Electrum BitcoinPrivacy Policy
Electrum Bitcoin (“the App”) is an iOS-only watch-only Bitcoin app for iPhone, operated by DizPay Technology (“we,” “us,” or “our”). It lets you monitor public Bitcoin addresses without creating, importing, storing, or using private keys or seed phrases. This Privacy Policy explains what information is handled when you use the App.
1. Information Stored on Your Device
The App may store the following information locally on your device:
- Wallet display names you enter
- Public Bitcoin addresses you choose to watch
- Basic app preferences and onboarding status
The App does not require a user account, and your saved watch list is not uploaded to an account or cloud service operated by DizPay Technology.
2. Information the App Does Not Store
The watch-only version of the App does not create, import, collect, or store:
- Private keys
- Seed phrases or recovery phrases
- Transaction-signing credentials
3. Network Requests
To display public Bitcoin balances and transaction history, the App sends public Bitcoin addresses to blockchain data services. Those services may receive standard network information, such as your IP address, as part of normal internet requests.
Camera access is used only when you choose to scan a QR code and only to read a public Bitcoin address.
4. Data Sharing
The App does not sell personal information. Public blockchain queries necessary for watch-only functionality may be processed by blockchain data providers.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Watched addresses and wallet names are stored locally on your device. You can remove individual watched wallets in the App. Removing the App also removes its locally stored app data from the device, subject to normal operating-system backup behavior.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. Personal information is not knowingly collected from children.
7. Independent App
Electrum Bitcoin is independently developed and operated by DizPay Technology. No affiliation, endorsement, sponsorship, or maintenance relationship with any other Bitcoin wallet software or project is claimed or implied.
8. Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when an update is made.
